About Me

My photo
I am a 21 year old sports and fitness fanatic from Brisbane, Australia. After a rough couple of years I have descended into the depths of Awkwardness - overweight, stressed out, poor life patterns, shy and next to no self esteem. Well, I am now taking a stand and fighting for my future. And that future is belonging to the "Kingdom of Alpha" as an Alpha male. This means working on my physique, my self confidence, social skills and life direction. Follow me through this trek toward the Kingdom!

Unexpected Fun

Today despite my plans to cycle myself into submission, I ended up doing some furniture painting and then ended up at Future Music festival in Brisbane. A great day enjoying some time painting the outdoor table and chairs with my Grandad was relly good fun. Then at Future I had a great time with friends old, best and new. I had a really great time checking out the acts and mucking around with the people I went with despite the torrential rain throughout the day. I can also cross off being backstage at a concert thanks to my mate and our all access passes, truly a great experiance I encourage everyone to try once. The unexpected is sometimes what makes life enjoyable and exciting, sometimes we can get too burrowed into a routinue and not take up unexpected opportunities which generally is to our detriment. Although I had a lot of exercise plan I can do more tomorrow and anyway, I made up by the 3-4 hours of painting and 3-4 hours of walking between acts at Future. A really great day where I was indeed as close to being the ALPHA as I have been for a long time. OH YEAH!!

Dietary Focus: As this was portion control for the rest of the week it was relavtively on track bar an extra half of scone with morning tea but other meals was kept within normal limits.

Resuming Again

After an unsuccessful trip up North QLD for work I have had to return to ride out the remainder of the wet season. Unfortunately this leaves me with no money for gyms, more equipment etc however this can be no excuse. It is time for me to pull my finger out and just get stuck into exercise and dieting properly. NO EXCUSES. To start this off I am going to focus on cycling and improving that. Hopefully this will keep me on track rather than spreading across many exercise types. I'm also looking into trying some Zen meditation for stress relief and clearing my mind. I am going to try to include regular positive self- talk for at least some period of my day. I have been having trouble getting out of a comfy bed in the mornings, so to combat this issue I think I will write an inspirational name on a piece of paper and put it over my alarm. Hopefully the trigger of the inspirational person will kick me out of bed. Tomorrow I will use Kurt Ferly, the paralmpian who recently crawled the Kokoada track.
